EBSCO Features First Chapters for Books on NoveList

EBSCO announced that its NoveList readers' advisory service now lets users preview the first chapters of thousands of included book titles. Provided by the Dial-A-Book Chapter One program, first chapters are provided for a range of books spanning most genres with a focus on recent and popular titles. (via Computers in Libraries, Nov/Dec 2006)

Access NoveList in the library, or through our website. Lansing Library card required.

To see an example of the first chapters program, try a search for Patterson, James
Next choose the title The 5th Horseman, look in the light blue box, to the right of the book cover image (approximately in the middle of your screen) to find the link for the First Chapter.

What a great way to see if you might like the book!

If it sounds good, use the link on the left side of the screen (in the orange bar) to connect to Lansing Library's catalog to see if the book is on shelf, or to place a request!
